On 4th April 2024, the annual meeting of the Interstate Council on Exhibition, Fair and Congress Activities of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) is held at VDNH (Moscow)
The issues to tackle upon are the results of the Council’s work, the activities plan 2024 and the Strategy of development of exhibition, fairs and congress activities of the CIS countries
🔹 Elena Ublieva, RUEF Executive Director, informed about the International MICE Industry Consortium and its plans for 2024
🔹 Vladimir Bannikov, General Director of exhibition company "Mir-Expo", shared experience in developing industry standards within the Technical Committee for Standardization at the CCI of the Russian Federation
🔹 Sergey Shogurov, General Director of VDNH, informed the meeting about the coming large-scale reconstruction of VDNH. By 2026, the total area of VDNH EXPO will reach 200,000 square meters
In addition, the rating of the event potential of the CIS, BRICS and SCO countries’ capitals was presented (developed by R&C Market Research Company). *The Top 5 included*:

5️⃣ Brasilia
