In September 2022, RUEF Executive Director Elena Ublieva met with Amit Kakkar, Co-Director of the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), in St. Petersburg.
We discussed the possibilities of cooperation between RUEF and FICCI. A preliminary agreement was reached on FICCI joining the international consortium, the initiative to create which belongs to the RUEF.
The Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs will unite the efforts of companies in the congress and exhibition industry, public and government organizations within the framework of the International Union of the MICE Industry. This decision was made by the members of the RUEF at the General Meeting in the summer of 2022.
The International Union of the MICE Industry will allow coordinating the cooperation of market participants and can become an authoritative organization for the formation of exhibition and congress activities of the member states of the CIS, BRICS, SCO and other countries.
